I recently just lifted my 91 tracker, I was averagin about 23-25 mpg before lift and im guessing im around 18-23 now.

With a 10-11 Gallon tank thats not much distance traveled before a fill up.
I am very seriously interested in putting in a larger gastank, I heard the 4dr have a 15 gallon tank, but what other options work well? Anyone have personal stories or pics of a gastank modification on a sidekick, tracker?

I have expiereince with XJ (jeep) and suzuki for the most part. I am wondering what will fit well up in between the frame, I have additional space now that I have the calmini lift installed, I do see there is a crossbrace in front of the gastank, I could even relocate that. I have the tool and skill neccasary to do that.

I wouldnt mind some opinions on this matter or sugestions.

I'll be over at a buddies tonight and I can measure a TJ tank for you. Or you can call Summit and look at cells.

If you wouldnt mind Id appreciate it, Id like to find a place on the net with measurements. TJ XJ whatever 15-20 gallons would be perfect, I measured a XJ tank but The pump is installed right on the top inside of it, I dont know much about changing fuel pumps etc. I think I should be able to just about find anything on Pirate regarding flow pressure etc, so right now what tanks have external mounted pumps? I believe mine is externally mounted, right on the top, the XJ pump sits right inside of it.

I was thinking about the same thing. I have a 95 8v tracker and i am getting 21-25 stock. Even with the 10 gallon tank, I only average about 140 miles A DAY, ) 65 to work each way. I have a about 17 gallon tank out of a 93 sidekick. I am going to see if they will swap this weekend. It would be nice to go 2 days on a tank.

Well, if you stick the 4-door (14.5 gallon) tank in, you wouldn't have to worry about fitting in the fuel pump. You do need to re-work the mounting brackets though, I think.

Yes, you're right Bob.
I've done it. You need to put your 8V pump in the 4 door tank (generally 16V). It's as easy as just swaping them as they fit right in. The tank mounting brackets are different, but not hard to fab.

I use a 60ltr tank from a 4dr LWB Vitara in the back of my LWB sierra
