only on a 4x4 truck, they won't fit on a rwd truck, wrong offset/backspacing

They will only fit 4wd s-10's because it has the RWD off set. 2wd s10's need a front wheel drive, or positive offset.

well i have had 2wd wheels on my 4x4 and no problems. and what u are saying is an oxy moron. u are tellin me that a 2wd rwd s10 has to use front wheel drive wheels. WRONG

Either you don't know, or got mixed up. It's the exact opposite of this. FWD or newer f-body and vette wheels will fit on the 4wd due to the larger backspacing. The common RWD, say 92 and older f-body and others, wheels swap to the 2wd S-10. To run the FWD or newer f-body wheels on a 2wd would require spacers. The Syclone.Typhoon guys run 93+ f-body and vette rims all the time and they're essentially a 4wd s-series.

You are correct, you can't run a RWD wheel on a 2wd s-10 becasue the RWD wheels usuall have 4 1/2" + of backspacing in a factory wheel.

You can run a positive off set wheel on a 2wd s-10, but not on a 4wd due to difference in spindle design.
