: Moab in April
Azrckcrawler 03-29-2002, 06:47 AM I think I mentioned it before but in case I didn't, a few of us are meeting in Moab in April, specifically April 16th-21st. If anyone wants to join us or better yet, show us a cool trail there, drop me a line. As of right now myself, Oilburner and my bud Erik will be there by the evening of the 16th. We would like to wheel some hard stuff on the 17, 18 and 19th, and then run some of the usual trails on Sat and Sunday (I'd like to see the Golden Crack, Lions Back, etc). As of right now I believe we are all staying at the Slickrock Campground.
0ILBURNER 03-29-2002, 10:19 AM YEAH, BABY!!!! :grinpimp:
I'm glad Erik will be there - wanna check out his coil-overs :smokin:
Arizona Zuk 03-29-2002, 11:30 PM sounds good to me......we want to go back!
just got home......it was fun even though the ASA event was kinda Screwed up.
Glenn (RRO) pissed a group off, when he told them he wasn't going to lead a night run...then slammed all their Zuks....
The Raffle and ASA dinner was changed to Monday night.....so we missed that.....;-(
some of us had work to do and got in town late....it's always been on Thursday night......
jp008 03-30-2002, 07:04 AM I just got back from Moab also. We hit "Behind the rocks" If you do the trail backwards it is rated a 5. There are a couple of nasty obstacles to go over. The first big one you will come to is White knuckle hill, there is a 4 foot ledge you have to encounter (most likely a winch) once you get over that it's not too bad until you get to the high dive area. Our trail leader Jeff has a sami with d-44's, 4.89 t-case and 4.56 gears. He made it to the top of high dive with some assistance from Wayne (aka Rotozuk). I highly recommend this trail and Prichett Canyon for all you hardcore needs.
If I new how to post pics without the red star I would do it.
Dave (Arizona Zuk) I'm glad I got to meet you and chat with you for a minute. I hope to see you all there soon.

Now that's what I like to hear, people willing to play skip work, err, call in sick to go four wheeling.

Glenn's Zuk got took....I feel sorry for him...everyone does....
but when he showed up at City Market to tell the group waiting for him to lead a night run....he told them all their Zuks were Junk.....and shouldn't be wheeling with them....
0ILBURNER 04-02-2002, 05:35 AM That's pretty harsh for a businessman to be dissing' potential customers like that
zukstur 04-02-2002, 06:32 PM been talking with chris and it looks like we will be able to hook up with you guys on friday and saturday for some runs.
Azrckcrawler 04-02-2002, 08:30 PM Thanks to Rick we have Friday and Saturday planned. Friday we are running Pritchett Canyon and Behind the Rocks, Saturday the Pickle Trail. I guess I better get my motor back in :D

right on.......one of the guys has RRO stuff on his Zuk....and said to himself (and me later) it's only crap because of your stuff....LOL
Glenn lost a bunch of future sales for sure.....maybe it's the Zuks are past tenst....now it's on with Trackers and X-90's......who knows.....??
zukstur 04-04-2002, 05:38 AM From what I saw last week at Moab the numbers of samarui's had doubled since last year. people are seeing how well these rigs wheel for way less money and they want in on the action.
I CAN SEE IT NOW: Easter week will be more zuks and less jeeps. what a vision.
zukstur 04-06-2002, 11:48 AM Chris, what trails are you guys going to run on the 17th,18th and 21st.
Is your wife comming with you to wheel .
Azrckcrawler 04-06-2002, 08:19 PM Yea, the little women is coming along to keep me in line :D Not sure what we are going to run, I am sure we can find something.
StomperZUK 04-07-2002, 01:06 AM Az, et-al....
I wasn't gonna post this 'cause i'm a fawkin newbie and all that, but.....
Seeing that you made the post about the ego trip? you whitnessed from gw, i thought what the hell......
Glenn (RRO) pissed a group off, when he told them he wasn't going to lead a night run...then slammed all their Zuks....
Maybe i'm totally out of line here, but...
It seems that in the past few years since i've participated in the various zuk e-mail lists etc., that gw has become the exact replica of the of the vendor that he most hated over the years. It really is sad to hear this. I had given gw the benifit of the doubt for the longest time, since I remember before he was a vendor, and hearing some of the stories about dealing with various zuk vendors from the past... I am disapointed that it seems he has fallen into the same mentality that has turned people away from some of the other zuk vendors over the years...
Maybe i'm way off base here, and if i am, please fire me up...
But, i have got to think that some other folks have noticed this as well????
Wasn't it said??? Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it???

well, at least he showed up to tell them he wasn't going to lead the run.......
maybe it was a mess-up on ASA's part....when someone said he would lead the run....they should have known he didn't have anything to drive.......
I can't believe he hasn't jumped in here with a reply???
0ILBURNER 04-08-2002, 06:57 AM Looks like I am gonna be good to go for Moab :D
Got my Toy IFS P/S all together and workin' good. :grinpimp:
