Do any of you guys that have done a chevy spring swap regret it? Is there any reason I shouldn't do it?

Because you need to give those springs to me? :D

My truck is *slightly* taller in front than out back...

Depends on what you mean by regret. My Chevys work really great and are a 5-banana upgrade considering what you get for the price.

The only regret is that because of thier length, they didn't do much for my departure angle. They are the limiting factor for dept. > right now on my flatbed. Now some type of 3 or 4 link with coils, Oh Baby!:smokin: :smokin:

Regret? Nah, never look back!

Cool cause one of my "friends" was trying to talk me out of it by saying that his friend who did it wished he hadn't, but I'll bet that he is just scared that I'll whip his jeeps ass at the Con this summer. Thanks guys!

Yeah he wouldn't want you to have the flex that the Chevy's would give you. With these YOU WILL ARTICULATE and whip his "It's a jeep thing" puny ass all over the rocks......Beat him badly........:p :p :D

I don't have Chevys, I have All-Pro springs but some of my friends have Chevy springs and their only complaint is that you move the front hanger SO far forward that sometimes it catches on rocks. Erik B posted some slick lo-pro hangers a little while ago that would go a long way towards alleviating this problem.

I personally don't like them from what I have seen.....
They seem to need some weight to actually work good, but its a give and take, and I would rather has a little bit less of flex and a shorter spring, what, we all ramp queens here or what??? Do you like to drag your crap over the rocks all day long, or do it like you did it with some style smiling all the way?? Yes, the same is true wit hthe rear waggys, but lessened than the chevs, and in MY opinion from experimenting with them for about 4 years now, i much prefer to have flex and less rock rash.. But, I have opinions writin in stone, but to each there own
Thats my $.02 and if ya don't like it, heres a fawkin quarter...

After 2 years I still like mine, the departure angle sucks, they don't have much lift but For The Money you can't beat them. I eventually ended up using some really long homemade shackles and putting the 4th leaf back in. No regrets. For $50 a pair I can afford to replace them when I back them into things and bend them.
