I got a Full floater 60 rear and I need to cut it down to match my front Waggy 44 how do I do this? I realize I need custom alloy 6 lug shafts for the rear 60, and I also realize it needs to be cut down to be the same width, what parts would I need to do this? any help would be good. Thanks:D :skull:

Someone will have to lop of the ends and weld on usually ford 9" ends. It MUST be done in a jig so that the ends are straight.

You must make sure that there is enough tubing left to make the housing wide enough for your application.

I say go big! 8 lug rear and just get 8 lug outers for the front.

I'd make the front match the rear :D
Should be cheaper and you can call it an upgrade.

Why not sell the FF 60 and get a semi float 60 from a 80+ f-250 with the 35 spline shafts. The pinion is off set 2.5" so cut the long side tube to the same lenght as the short side and get another short axel. this should give you a 62" wide SF 60...but it will still be eight lug?
