Friend of my that works at a pull-part yard found a good sized GM oil cooler, came off a 350 2500 suburban.

I cleaned up the filter adapter and came across the part #GM340259 on the side.

Anyone have a tech book or anything I can reference to get gaskets and such or should i just take the adapter to the dealer and hope they can find something?

Also, he claims it will bolt to my buick 231 3.8 V6...this true?

Most K5s came with oil coolers as long as you got the towing package. I dont think they changed designs through the years so you can just call up GM and tell them you need the gaskets for what ever year it came off of. If you dont know the year, then just pick a year . MY 86 Jimmy, and my 87 Suburban has the oil coolers.
