The time has come for me find a new home for my 1991 Jeep Wrangler but all that’s left or the Jeep part is the body and frame. First off the highlights include a Chevrolet Corvette 350 V8 engine and 700R4 automatic transmission also from the Corvette. The transmission was just been rebuilt less than a thousand miles ago, and it also has a B&M shift kit installed and Locar floor shifter. The engine runs great and has tons of power. This Jeep is faster than most cars on the road and is a kick to drive. It has a custom 3in exhaust with high flow cat and DynoMax muffler so it sounds awesome. An Optima red top battery and custom Be Cool aluminum radiator also reside under the hood. The air conditioning was also converted over and works great. The factory transfer-case was retained but a heavy-duty slip yoke eliminator was installed along with heavy-duty CV drive shafts. The front axle is now a high pinion Dana 44 from a Ford F-250. The axle has been narrowed to fit the Jeep and uses CJ-7 disk brakes and hubs so replacement parts are easy to get. The u-joints are the larger 760 Spicer joints so they are plenty strong. It also has 4.88 gears and a Detroit soft locker with Warn premium hubs. The rear axle is a custom Currie Ford 9 inch also narrowed to fit the Jeep. It has 31 spline axles with Lincoln Town Car disk brakes and to match the front the rear also has 4.88 gears and a Detroit soft locker.
A 4-inch Pro Comp spring under suspension lift and 2-inch body lift clear the way for 35x12.50 R15 Pro Comp All-terrain tires which are brand new along with black rock crawler wheels. Also the front suspension uses anti-kick back shackles also spring plate skids are used on the front and back. The Jeep is armored with a bulletproof front bumper holding a Warn XD9000i winch. It also has custom rock sliders and a Tomken rear bumper. The rest of the Jeep is full of other modifications including a 30-gallon fuel tank, extended fender flares, CB radio, Pioneer CD player, diamond plate corner and tailgate guards. The Jeep also has a custom built 8-point roll cage and brand new Best Top super top including the soft uppers. This Jeep would make a great daily diver and serious trail machine.
