i called AGR today to see about ording just the actuator to build my own hydraulic assist steering and WOW i couldnt believe the prices those guys are trying to charge! it would have been almost 400 bucks just for the actuator and the lines! whats up with these guys? do people really buy from them? i priced building my own for less that 150 bucks. i see alot of people do the same for so much cheaper, so how the hell do they sell anything? :flipoff2: AGR

AGR from what I understand uses very high-end rams, stuff that is designed for Aircraft/Aerospace that is why the high costs on their stuff. What you are looking is stuff that is designed for farm equipment. so how the hell do they sell anything? Yeah their stuff is pricey but they do sell it to all different types of motorsports.
Here is one place that sells cheaper rams and I know there are cheaper places.

i might buy one of those but what i am really looking for is a tandam actuator, i have installed the regular one on several buddies trucks and they all seem to be easy to turn one way but not too much of a difference the other. if i had a tandam actuator then it would be equal force on both sides of the actuator and i think would steer even better

if you mount the single acting ram so that it pushes from the weak side (when the ram is compressing) when turning left. This way when the ram is most powerful when the box is least powerful and vise-versa this will tend to equalize out
by acuator do you mean a ram?
jeff howe sells double ended rams that he builds just for steering applications. around 500 bucks

Not really related, but AGR held my ps box hostage for over 3 months. Customer service is horrible and prices are extremely high. If it hadn't already been paid for, I'd have gladly just went somewhere else.
