Hey Scout guys, did Scout's ever come with a 60? I found a 5 lug 60 for sale that the guy says came from a Scout 2. I did a quick search and didn't see anything. Thanks for helping!

Assuming your talking about rear end, the answer is no. However IH did use a semi-float 60 in the rear of their 1010 Travelall, which could be confused with a scout II (I guess  ). The SF60 is just a 60 center section with 44 outers, so it isn't anything special.

IH never used a 60 front, and if someone says different I want a pic for proof!:flipoff2: They did use closed knuckle and open knuckle 44's and Dana 70's. There is speculation that IH used 60's on their last year of the light line pickups (75), but no one can back it up. I even have a Dana manual that specs a 60 front for that year, complete with BOM, but to this day no one can back up the claim.

Yeah, that happens a lot. A buddy of mine called me all excited like telling me that he just saw a 10 doored Scout II. I explained to him that what he actually saw was a 10 doored Travelall.... one of the Airport Limo conversions.

I like the constant confusion between travelall and traveler.or scout and bronco/ramcharger/landcruiser/blazer:rolleyes:

Axle tech 101...cute little number stamped on the tube.its called a BOM.write it down...crumple it up... and jam it up your ass.it doesn't matter what axle it is,it won't work for you.
