i just put a lift on my yj. i want to make some disco's for th sway bars. i was thinking about cutting the shaft, sliding some round tube over it, drilling some holes for a clip on each end. think that would work. any suggestions.

Yes it will work.

Suggestion: Take them off and leave them off.

It'll work but getting the holes to line up for your pins to go through is a pita in the end. Better to make something that slides off the mounting stud like a JKS. Just easier to hook up and disconect.

I've had Jks and the pin type you are talking about making. When I made my new ones I made them like the JKS. No comparison. To be honest when I had the pin ones I still just unbolted them instead, it was way easier and faster.

Just my .02 though. Maybe someone has a trick for working with that type more efficiently?
