Has any one bought one of these

I have been seeing more and more of this type welder / plasma cutter. What worries me is that there are many different names as the manufacter of the exact same product; Mitech, Chiry, Smiley tools, ect. Also all the auctions mention that they are not just some shady company trying to make money quick off crappy products, that's never a good sign when some one is using that as advertisement. Any hoo just seeing if any one has one and what they think. It's such a good price I figured even if parts did break they say that they are universal interchangable with Miller, Hypertherm, ect parts. Is it worth it?

Thank

Maximum cutting thickness 1.2 CM
No AC on the Tig
Made in China

lol

If you can afford a real tig and a real plasma, then I would say so... You could get it and it could turn out to be a fantastic machine but people here recommend hobart/miller/lincoln for a reason

The one you posted is too small IMO, like the others said. www.parkermetalworking.com is who I bought my Ryland plasma through, it's the one they have one Ebay for $650 right now. It works really well for that price. I picked one up locally, since I'm in AZ too. The guy who sells them was just getting the tig/ac/plasma machines in, I think they were 160 amps. I considered it, but from what I've read on here, a dedicated TIG would be better with a seperate plasma cutter. He also now has a 50 amp plasma, mine's a 40 and does 3/8" easy. But for another $100, I might be tempted to get the 50. I like my 40 though because it will automatically run on 110 or 220, no changeover. If you consider buying one, I'd recommend "divtec" on Ebay. He tests each one before he sends them out, he told me a lot of them get damaged on the boat over, plus he works on them here in case a warranty arises.

Thanks for the info guys, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on some great deal or something. I'm really just looking for a plasma cutter I just thought if it was also a tig in one machine why not? I think I'll try Parker Metal Working, I couldn't find "divtec" on ebay.

Thanks

Just type in plasma cutter for the search and they're usually on the 3rd or 4th page of searches. His Ebay name is "divtec", they're cheaper on ebay than if you call him outright.
