I am wanting to satrt a new progect. What I would like make I have seen before but havent ever done myself. I want to turn down a set of 14 bolt wheel hubsand redrill the lug pattern to 6 x 5 1/2 clean up the spindles and reattach the 14 bolt stuff to the statndard axle. Anybody got any other ideas that could be better.

One of my buddy's took the hubs off and had them machined down on a lathe along with the axle flange, had them redrilled to 6 on 5.5 and converted to disc brakes, they fit with aftermarket 6 lug wheels (centers larger than stock 6 lugs) and had to use allen head bolts with safty wire to bolt the axle in, while clearing the wheels.
