Hello to All
First off I have to thank Old Scout for suggesting a post here.
The adapters for the 2.8TGV/WS and 300TDI diesels are now in stock at Advance Adapters.
Here is a collection of what they will mate up with.
Auto Version Kit:
Powerglide
TH350
TH400
700R4
4L60/4L60E
4L80E
Manual Version Kit:
(this kit can use a 11" or 12" clutch assembly)
SM465
NP435
NV3500
NV4500
there are more...)
In addition, this kit can be used with any of Advance Adapters' Chevy
V-8 to various transmissions adapter kits. This would allow the 2.8L
TGV to be mated to countless other transmissions.
This opens up a very large world to the engines.
Now time to dig up the Advance Adapter catolog and see what will work for you if you like.

So what are the (average) prices for these two motors?? Shipping? (looked to be about $1000 typicaly)
I saw specs for the 2.8L on your web page, but no mention of the 300TDI. Clue us in would you?
What does the addapter(s) typicaly run?

The engines for now are priced too low but that is the type of person I am.
The 2.8 TGV is 5800.00 extra 250.00 for the 300TDI oil sump and pickup. The 300TDI engines cost more than the 2.8 TGV go figure. The website is a work in progress. I have access vehicles in Europe that are not up yet.
The inline 6 sprint is 6800.00 and it needs a fan, altenator and powersteering pump. Doing container loads will get the price down.

Sorry the scout transmission is not up to the job of the gear ratios we need.
I answered that nice.

It would depend on whether or not an SAE flywheel housing is available for this engine.
So, is there an SAE option?

The 727 Torqueflight was used with the V-8 215 CI AKA 3.5 liter Rover /Sold by Buick a long time ago engine. It was a Mopar version.

The title says it all. I think all the people with the engine are very happy with the proformance. Some have even gone as far as cranking the fuel back to Factory settings. Let me know.
Then you have to think this engine did complete the 6000 mile run in the desert (Lisbon to Dakar) and came 32 out of a field of 240. competing with V-8 and V-10 engines some pushing over 600HP.
The engine is factory set at 135 HP and 277 FP of torque at 1400 RPM. Want more power go to the inline 6 diesel with 185 HP and 366 FP of torque at 1600 RPM. Its a work truck engine designed to last.
Want super power find a BMW inline 6 diesel with twin turbos. good luck with the ECM's there is lots of them.
