Other than Ruenel - what are some decent aftermarket bumpers out there? Preferably ones that aren't $2k a piece.

or ranch hand knock offs, got my bumper for 450, ranch hand copy basically.

tell me what kinda truck you got, know of a company that makes full replacements ranch hand style and if its one of their production models it usually runs 600

Umm the ones i can think of are
trailready
Road armor
Ramsey makes a cheap one similiar to a Ruenel that with some work would be a cool bumper, i think its like $350 bucks.
do a search for winch bumpers online. THats what i did and found several places.

It's a 97 Ram 2500 - considering putting a new tow bumper on the rear - I'm thinking shipping on one of these things is going to kill me though.

I decided that if I ever get around to putting a winch on my tow rig, I'de probably build the bumper myself. I get a certain pride out of being able to say, I built that, plus, the materials are generally 1/3 the cost or less if I were to buy one outright.

last time i checked rough country was running 400 or so for a custom rear bumper, made to your specs for the most part. but that was with your truck there, so thats outta the question, and like you said shipping will kill ya

try to see if any body shops in your area carry ranch hand products

built this custom one myself...but would love a buckstop or road armor replacement, mine is heavy as hell and solid...it wont bend, but i want the better style of the road armor piece without the $1200 price.

Hanson (the jeep bumper builder) builds bumpers for dodge and ford. I got a quote for a winch bumper unfinished for $1,300. It is more than the RH and other copies but I love the lines of the Hanson better!
