Anyone know about these , obviuos flaws? I found one locally for 1300$ good, bad? It appears clean from the pic however I can't go see it till sunday
Is it to old to get parts for or does that not really happen with welders?

Its a big heavy sonofabitch. My welding cart probably weighs in over 500 lbs easy, but its a damn dependable machine. I've had one at the last 3 duty stations and have yet to need more than blowing the dust out of them and adjusting the HF contact points.
Here's the one I've been using for the last 5 years, stick TIG, and AL MIG, never so much as a hicup from it. Just flat out dependable.

take it for a road test. if it welds good then id buy it. price sounds reasonable to me especially if its local to you. one word of caution. do not weld ON TOP of the machine. have a friend "pop" a board in his from doing this too much. he basically used the top as a weld table alot rather than uncoiling hoses. (oops) i have one like that at the high school that has had alot of "kid/student" hours on it and it works fine, mine is older but rocks. its one of my most coveted possesions..

I just picked up a 300 syncrowave with a Bernard cooler, all the guages, pulse, post gas flow control, all the bells and whistles. I had it fixed, my Grand Total I am just shy of $1800. If that is any sort of guage. I have found 250s and 300s range anywhere from 1K-2K depending on package cooler torch etc.
