I'm planning to remove the 71 body from the frame. I'm removing the hard top and as much pieces that are bolted on to the body to reduce the body weight.
How many average size guys, 5'8 to 5'11 (160 - 200 lbs), do I need so we can lift the body off the frame and move it to a bench?
Any standard procedures to do this?

I am assuming that because you said hardtop that you are talking about a Bronco.... right?
It should only take two guys, maybe three if everything is removed. If you can get four guys than you can have three guys lift comforatbly, and the four can check for the wires, and hoses that you forgot.
Of course, I can be the fifth guy that stands there, beer in hand, and keep repeating "good job guys, keep up the good work":flipoff2: :D
You wouldn't even have to pay me, just:beer:

Yes it's a 71 Bronco.
It seems that after I removed the hardtop and seats, the body weight is still pretty heavy. I'm not really sure if 3 guys can do it or even four. To be sure 5 guys to do all the lifting, including the one with a beer on his hand. The 6th person which is me will supevise. He he he.
Thanks.

My 2 buddies and I just got done picking up a tub off a set of sawhorses and setting it back on a rolling chassis with engine, trans, x-fer case, and 4.5" suspension lift on it.
One guy in the back in the middle
Two guys in the front, one on each side holding the front doorpost area at the bottom. We took it off the frame same way.
The tub was really solid, with no rust. That makes a big difference. Otherwise the tub will want to fold.

Well you guys said so. Three guys huh, hmmmmm!
We lifted the hardtop, 4 of us. The tub seems to be heavier though.
Thanks a lot.

Your original question was how many do you "need". :D
My recommendation is 4 or 5, depending on how many you can get to help.
