SM465 Inspection Plate... where to buy?

Believe it or not ..goto the Dealer they are like $20.00...that was last year so I don't think they would have gone up much if any...

Go out to the junkyard you can pick one up for a couple of bucks off one of the old transmissions in their pile. I got mine for $5.00.

I've been looking in my local 2 PnP yards and believe it or not, I can't find any Chevy stuff that hasn't been pulled. I've even been looking for a 14B carrier for a buddy and can't even find any of them.

The Dealer? Never even crossed my mind; I'll give them a buzz tomorrow and see what I can come up with. Thanks.

Make one... A little flat plate steel, a saw, a drill press... Done ;)

It doesn't have to be off a chevy trans, if you are talking about the pto cover. Ford, dodge, etc.

it's just a pto cover find a shop that builds dump trucks or tow trucks or puts on hyd wet kits, i'm sure most of those places have them laying around cause u take them off when installing pto's, i think i've thrown about a 100 of them away

Stunnin650 nails it. It's a standard 6 bolt pto cover run on just about every truck trans since before sliced bread.

some driveshaft places do pto work also they might have some lying around.

Sorry guys, forgot I dropped this thread in Noob.

No, I wasn't talking about the PTO plate.

I was talking about the inspection plate that goes between the engine and tranny, sort of keeping junk out of the flywheel, clutch and all the parts inside the bellhousing. I was just looking for any places to grab one that I haven't thought of (like the dealer which I haven't called yet). If not, I will just hit up the metal store and make one myself with the plasma cutter. I've got so many other more important Jeep projects going on with the Jeep, I figured I would just short cut this one and buy one for $20 if they have them at the dealer.
