I want to move my engine (sbc) forward when I go a H55F 5 speed box and split TC, and have been putting some thought into mounting options. I am going to put a cross member under the box and flip the mounting plate on the front of the engine block. At the moment I don't have a cross member, instead relying on the mounts on the bell housing/adapter. When the bell housing moves forward I wont be able to pick up the mounts on the chassis rail, so I was wondering if the 60 series use bellhousing mounts or just rely on the crossmember?

Thanks

Ben

Crossmember underneath the transmission. Attached to the frame by 4 bolts on each side.

So no bellhousing mounts then?

No, just engine mounts then transmission crossmember.
