OK . . . so I did a search here, over at RROC, and the Ranger Station. I found some wiring diagrams, just not a lot of tech discussion.
Specs: 89 Bronco II w/ Borg-Warner 1354 Electric Shift
Problem: No 4wd, No 4-lo
Stuff I've done: OK, checked switch, switch good on both sides. Pulled Electronic Control Module. Power supply is sending 5 volts to the dash switches, and 5 volts down to the t-case. Power supply is recieving 12-volts but the relays will not click unless I disconnect the plug at the t-case, then it will do the test engage when I press the white button on the side of the Control Module (Is this a test button or what?) little LED flashes a couple of times and goes out. When the t-case plug is connected and I push the button, the LED comes on, stays on for about 30 seconds, then goes off. Checked continuity on all wires coming from dash switch to control module.
I have not pulled the motor or sensors on the t-case. Nor have I checked continuity on the wires to the t-case.
Anyone dealt with this system before and know what I am looking at. I'm sorry for my ignorance, but I usually work on FSJs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Phil
