I broke my t-case awhile ago and have tigged(?) it back together. I have been looking for another one, but was wondering if there was another(better) way to go? Not sure if I could do a 2wd tranny with a divorced 205 or something like that.

Does anyone know what those truck-pull guys are running for t-cases?

Thanks for the time
Mike

the dodge 241dld are plentiful and fairly strong and depending on which part you broke on your case the back halfs are interchangable with 241 hd cases...i think it would be a shame to run such a crude xfercase like the 205 on such a nice truck...you could upgrade to the newer np case used on 3gen dodges

Is it a direct bolt in deal?

If I could just get a case, I would be set.
Thanks for the info

I have no idea if this would work, probably not. But the NVG 271/73 (electric shift) is WAYYYYYYY stronger than an NP 205. The 270 series cases are used in Ford F-550's with 17500 GVWR from the factory, they are huge cases and used in all 3rd Gen Dodges with a Cummins from the factory. Get over the NP 205, great case but not the best out there anymore.

I would just fix your stock case and take it easy, the above would cost way too much.

get the stak case... in case you have more time to kill!

i could be wrong but i think the 270 series even for the dodges are 31 spline input, i know all of the fords are

The Dodge one should be 29 spline (according to a buddy of mine who worked for New Venture till he struck out on his own in '04)
