Here is the deal. Going to swap the rear 44 for a 9" and run my 6 lug pattern on 15" bead locked wheels with 35 spline shafts, I want to convert it over to disk brakes, so does anyone now of a rotor and caliper that is 6 lug that I could find at a junk yard or parts store that will work for this application or would I be better off having a five lug rotor drilled to 6 lug? Looking for a way to keep it simple and on the cheap side. I have tried using the search and could not find what I was looking for FYI.
Thanks in advance

chevy, wagoneer, toyota all run 6-lug, so they are possible donors.

here are a couple of posts with the info post 1 (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4444723&postcount=5) post 2 (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4500442&postcount=18)

small gm metric caliper from astro elcamino ect...rotor from 1/2 ton ifs chevy foster number yh141453 i think truck or large gm from blazer and rotor from hd 6lug ifs chevy foster number yh141454...either can use weld on caliper mounts from a place like speedway or aa man. the smaller rotor will require you to turn the od of the axle flange down

88 chevy 1500 regular cab front rotors

These are slip-on... there are two thicknesses. I believe you need the thinner (1" thick) ones for those S10 or Caddy calipers.

Center hole on rotor may need to be opened up. Depends on the size of the 'button' on your custom 9" axles.

I have a 35 spline, 6-lug Ford 9" in my Toyota. I took off-the-shelf Yukon 78-79 Ford f-150 Shafts for the 35 spline upgrade. Welded two holes shut, and re-drilled 6 holes to right around .625. I turned down the outer diameter of the flange on the shaft about 200/1000's. I cut a small window on the Toyota P/U front rotor to access the retainer bolts. I run GM 9.5" Semi-floater rear studs with the rotor mounted on the back side of the shaft. A Toyota 4 piston caliper (4 cyl. version) is supported by a 3/8" thick bracket I welded to the housing.

I needed my axle together quick. I had a month till an event, and every one was telling me a month for custom shafts with the 6 lug. Randy's R/P had the 35 spline F-150 shafts in my hand 3 days later. They were in my truck within a week.

I know this sounds like a lot of trouble, but when your Toyota is only about 25 percent Toyota (or Jeep for that matter), you try to do anything you can. Reman calipers from Napa were $50 ea, and rotors were $23 ea.

i forgot about that, there are two thicknesses, i'm using the thinner ones, i belive the regular cab light duties got the thinner ones, they are around an inch thick, as opposed to 1.5 inches for the thicker ones.

i'm pretty sure i didnt have to open up the center hole, but i dont remember. also, if you have the rotors before you order shafts, moser can turn the 'button' down to the size you need.
