the title says it all its mostly a daily driver its on 35's and it cost me a transmission so i want to get some gears in it and avoid that again. but im a little short on money and soon i will be going to some 37's so i was thinking 4.88 i dont get on the interstate with it that much anymore if i do i just drive someone eyles car. its a 1996 z71 1500 where is the best place to buy them from on a budget. thanks
No exactly a place you want to skimp on... If you must, Randy's offers a budget line of gears that are pretty cheap.

You can go look in the vendor section and find a few people that sell them.. You can send them a PM and they will give you a price..

4.56's with 37's is good all around combo. Genuine gears are the cheapest I know of. If you have the 10 bolt rear, the gears and install kit cost $225 from the 4WP in my area. If you have the 14SF, then it is $330 for gears and install kit.

cheap and diff gears dont really go together. Its a pay for what you get.
If you run 4.88 with a 4l60 tranny then you should still be able to drive on the highway np.

I would gete yukons, mid priced and good gears. Genuine are cheap but flat out blow. They set up shitty, wear shitty and break. Ive set up dozens up yukons and they are pretty good. Most of the time we can sell them at the shop I work at for about the same as genuines since we are a master distributer as well
