The latest problem. I forgot about the shifter[s] being bent.:clown: Don't know exactly which way they're bent but it appears that the little one is bent forward. When I shift from 1st to 2nd it trys to push the transfer into 4h. 4lo is unuseable, when shifting to 2nd or 4th it pushes the transfer into neutral. So do I try to save them or look for another set???

What if you pulled the t-case shifter and turned it 180 degrees and reinstalled it. Or maybe even bend the tranny shifter a bit.

I had about the same problem, rotated it 180 and now in low it barley rubs in 2nd gear.

The little shifter is pretty straight so if I rotate it I think I will still have the same problem. I'll check it out tomorrow.

A short throw conversion (http://4crawler.cruiserpages.com/4x4/ForSale/ShortThrowShifter.shtml) on the transfer case shifter will shorten the throw enough so it won't hit the transmission shift lever:

Or check other t-case shifters....there are different shapes out there.

After an hour with a vise and a 3' pipe I think they will work until I get another set.
