I am confused as to the names of the hot tubs. I thought Mickey's was the easy one that sits by it's self. I went throught that one sevral times with out any problems, but then I wwent over and tried another one higher up the hill. It was actually a pair of smaller tubs with steeper walls. It took about 5 guys on strap to pull me out. What the name of that pair of tubs?

FYI most of the pictures I have are now up on the All Pro site at:

We ran into Steve and John on Fins and Things Monday afternoon. They were doing a photo shoot. They had the Vitara, a 4 door Nissan truck and a YJ.

The Liberty is Wakefield's. I think his Suzukis are under construction (or stolen) at the moment, thus the Jeep.

Was that 4 door Nissan a gray one? If so, he had that thing out here in AZ. Way too cushy for me... Leather seats! He was dropping off the new Nissan tcase with 3.6 gears for AZ testing.. Some friends of mine out in Maricopa built that Calmini Xterra. Pretty bad ass except for the whole IFS bull shit. Eaton electric lockers, gears, etc.

I saw it broken on Golden Spike. Not sure what was broke but the right rear tire(s) were off and there was gear oil everywhere.

I don't have any specs but it looks like he has a great start there. Lack of beadlocks and high tire pressure seems to have been a problem. The rig is simple, light and well built. It's a single seat deal. Very clean work, controlls were well placed. Suspension worked well. I would love to transfer my driveline to a chassie like that.

Thanks, Phil

I went and checked it out at their shop about 2 weeks ago. It is pretty sweet. 1.6L Sidekick motor, stock Samurai transmission, Sammy 'case with 4:1, and they are running their new custom axles. Tires are 35" MT/R's, front and rear ARB's, 4 wheel dics, cutting brakes, rear 1/4 elliptical, front coils, etc, etc. :D It is pretty sweet, and weighs in around 2,000 lbs. ~Steve

judging from this pic, I think the links need some attention to correct their geometry.

It's already being addressed. Any suggestions?
Plus the pic was a poser pic anyway. You can tell by the relaxed leg out the door stance.

Steve I thought he was looking for a winch point from a Chevy instead of at his shoes;)

TheLakeRat
04-03-2002, 08:10 AM
No i was just looking for a place to winch you and Steve back down that little crack.:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
In all honesty though, I used my winch more That Week and in Pritchett Canyon than I have the entire time I've owned it.
Steven said he owed us all a  .
Personally I had a ball. It was a challange, and i love a good challange.:smokin:
