took it apart, has 3 brushes 1 dosen't even touch the armature it's wore down so far. others wore down too:( anyone ever buy the brushes? I'm about to look around.

most auto part stores have them, maybe not in your neck of the woods though. :D

when I've got starter probs I just bring the starter to a rebuild shop and get them to do it......usualy $80 around here and it comes with warranty........saves lots of hassle.....

No way, I do all my shit, why? I like to, I know how and I know it's done correctly:) a set of brushes should be under $20, well under $10 really.

If you can get old brushes out, you can get new ones in. You can't go wrong doing it yourself. :beer:

Seabass....Ive always had good luck with buying parts from Carquest!!! There is a guy in Orangevale ERIC, on Greenback.....He always finds the shit that im looking for!!! even if it a dealer only part...he always seems to find it! Give them a try!
