Have you tried welding from both a 220 and 110 volt outlet? If so, can you tell a difference between the two?
Nice... I have a Miller Maxstar 150STL GTAW/SMAW, being portable with a 80cf bottle is the shizzle. As for the difference between 115 and 230v when welding, the duty cycle is shorter with the 115 with the Maxstar... Are you able to plumb a larger shielding gas bottle into the Passport, ok read the specs and you are able to do it...
The wife probly chose it as when you leave it laying around she can move it... or when your a bad boy it can be hidden.

Gotta pick up a new flowmeter first. I'll be back in OKlahoma in 3 or 4 days then the testing begins.
As far as portability, I liked that I could pack it up and hit the road with it when we go wheeling. Plenty of 110v receptacles outside around the hotels and 110/220 lines at RV parks.
