Hey Y'all..
Starting to do the reasearch on the complete rebuild of the 16valve. One thing that I wanna do is port & polish the head. Has anyone done this to this engine? I know that I can just go mild and clean up what's there and that will improve hp and flow for sure... but as some of you may know, there is a fine art to porting to get the head to flow at maximum. I need that info if'n you have it.

TIA

Well Hugh Reynolds does that stuff...

Google him (Reynolds Machine)...

EDIT: Well, he doesn't seem to have the 16 valve on his web site... :shaking:

Used to be a guy on the team swift forum who hill climbed a swift 16v in scotland went by the name of Madzuki, he was a dentist so used his work tools to port the head! He had taken impressions of the ports 1st so could see them in 3D & plan what he was going to do. Not sure if any details are in the archives. Cams are available from a vendor on the team swift forum as well, he will grind pretty well what you want, Tighe cams in Australia are also a potential source but they never answered any of my emails.
