: 7 Inch Stock Rims

does anyone run 35 inch tires on 7 inch rims as daily drivers? is it a bad idea. i have 35 12.50 15 bfg at's for daily drivers. can you still run 35 psi ok on the hwy? thanks. it is for my 84 ish 4runner

yeah i know a heap of guys that do it, just offroad, which i guess you wont use them, you can only go down so far or they role the bead hell easy.

With a 12.5" wide tire on a 7" rim, I'd run around 25-30 psi on the street. Running that fat of a tire on that skinny of a rim isn't going to hurt anything but the tread wear. With 35 psi, the tire is going to wanna bubble out and only wear out the center of the tire....

Clean your tires real well and then drive on a dirt road to see how much of the tire is actually hitting the ground, this will give you a good idea of how much air you should have in 'em.

so yeah whats the problem? you do that for a year and then deflate and wear the outside so you get 2 years use out of them.
