Anybody running full with D60's on and FJ? I have my axles now and I am trying to decide weather or not to narrow them. If anybody has any pic's of an Fj on full widths please post it. Any ideas/opinions on this are always appreciated.

GM Dana 60 front, full width with 5.5" back sapce to make it fit on a 83" deck trailer its 82.5" wide outside tire to outside tire. ARB,35 spline inner and outer 4.88 gears.

Rear is a 14 Bolt with 4.88s and a detroit. 14 bolt is 1.5 inches narrower than a GM60.

Do a search under my name there are countless pics of it and build up thread from a few years ago.

Thanks, I did a search but it will certainly help to have a name to look for. You still in Montrose? I did a few years at FLC. Spent more time in the mounatins and bars then in class, thats why I had to go to detention for a while. This detention comes with a full machine shop including a rapid prototyper, I guess it's not too bad!

Not to hijack this guys thread, but its a sad time, I did sell my 60:( I kept the motor, tranny, atlas axles, and hydraulics. The guy I sold it to is doing a bunch of stuff to it to get it back to its previous state he was not willing to give me what all that stuff was worth and wanted to basically do the same thing with his parts, he clamed to be able to do it cheeper, yea right! now hes gotta put the labor back into it too.

It was not easy to do but my 40 is a lot more rig than anthing else I have owned so, at least I up graded:D

I had full-width 60s under my 60 7 or 8 years ago, and IMO that's the only way to go with springover and big tires. Wonderfully stable, and stout, too. 12.50s on 8" wheels with at least 3.5" backspacing and it really isn't even that wide (relative to the body). I could dig up pics on my pc at home, but I don't have a star to post them
