I lucked into a DANA 60 Rear with 6:29's .
Great shape new shafts.... Yea baby yea!
At breakfast this morning, a friend of mine says. "Hey do you know anyone that can use a Dana 60?"
My response Yea, how much?
FREE! All I have to do is go over his house and take it out of the garage. :D

Yea, good idea but I have to have a High Pinion in the rear. Not the front.... I might just keep it for PROJECT X :D

they dont make 6.29 for a high pinion d60, 5.38 are as low as you will find and i think randys r and p are the only ones selling them. i have a rear d60 with 4.10s sitting in the yard, its 16 spline, i will give it away for free. rear d60s are a dime a dozen.

No I need a High Pinion 60 for the rear of the TJ. I need a reg. 60 for the front. If I get a good HP 60 and a good reg 60 I can swap stuff around to suit my needs.
Use the reg 60 in the front and Hp60 in the rear.
Project x will be all tubing. (I have too many things going on right now) AS if I had to say that. :D:rasta:
ouibus 03-31-2002, 06:06 PM Actually the original Vortec 350 came in the '96 and up Chevy trucks and SUV's. When the new body style came out in late '99 to 2000, this when the newer and redesigned Vortec came out. ( At least I think it is still called a Vortec)
Thanks bus. :D The vortec 350 that I have in my 1999 Tahoe is the one that I want for my jeep. But I aint taking it out of the TAHOE. :D

Magoo 03-31-2002, 08:24 PM I got one for my F150 w/ only 40k on in w/ the same gears(4.10) from a buddy for nothin'. All I had to do was drill the BC to mine and walla I had a 60 in the rear. Now I need to score a free ARB! Hey it's my 'tow rig'!:D

TODDK 04-01-2002, 02:10 AM Dana 60 and 70 rears no problem I can get them for a handshake and a beer around my area... the front 60 man you will have to give the guy your hand. But you are in luck today mr bert I have a front gm 60 that I will be willing to part with for the right price I do believe you will be needing a passenger side diff????? well let me know if you are interested.. As far as that high pinion rear you might have to build that yourself... Why do you need a high pinion rear??? are you going to be that high that much angle??
