I had some problems with my main bearings making some cool looking grooves in the crank journals, so I get to have the crank ground & new brgs.

My question is, mine's an '87 2F, I have a spare '83 2F. I want to get the '83 crank ground this week so I can have it done when I pull the engine & do a quick swap....no major downtime.

I did a search on this BB, CCOT, and IH8MUD and didn't turn up anything.
$OR shows a main brg change 10/84, but the main caps are the same from 1958-8/87
& rod brgs are the same from 1958 to 8/87.

The only thing I see is it only shows the thrust washers used after 10/84. Could I use the '83 crank in my '87 and use the thrust washers?
