I'm planning on putting 39.5 " swampers on my burb:smokin: I currently have diamond plate running boards that I plan on taking off. I need to find a way to allow the ole lady ease of access without compromising clearance. any suggestions:question:
Ps..when I get em I'll have a full set of 35" BFG MT's with 95% tread left if anyone is interested. 35x12.5x16.5

Ive seen a pair electric folding steps on a new F-350. It wasnt factory, but I know they are out there. When the door opens the step folds down, when the door shuts it folds up to the bottom of the door so you dont loose any ground clearance.

I think it is Kodiak that makes an electric step that comes down when the door is opened. They flatten up when the door is closed. Not sure on the price. Just a possibility. Post pics when you get it done. I have to get off my @$$ and get my Burb dirty.
I've seen a truck with chain hung from the body, he used a tip from one of the popular 4wd mags.
You hang it from the body and weld a few of the links in the middle so that they stay straight, as you go over an obstacle they are just supposed to drag across whatever it is. But i could see these getting hung on something.
Just getcha a grab bar on the side of the body, cut the fenders, tub the wheel wells, and pull some of the spring to lower it down :D , and you can still push her up in it when needed.

Make you a step that you can attach when shes riding and when you wanna play pull the "pin" and whalla ground clearance. Weld a piece of box tubbing to framec with hole drilled in it and make a "step" however long you need it....Can be removed in 5 seconds.......

Buy her a step stool or some platforms. :smokin:
Or you can just get one of those single steps only wide enough for 1 foot.
