I was thinking about making some but I want to move the axle a little further back, say like 1.5"~2". Can you guys thing of drawbacks or problems that might arise from having the axle off-center of the leaf spring. Drive-shaft length and clearance are not an issue.
Thanks

Offroaddesign.com makes a 1 in spacer that can be used to shift the axel either 1 in or 1 1/2 off center. If I remember right there $50-60 a pair and they come with center pins. Coloradok5.com hosts ord's questions on there message board you might want to do a search there.

I used them to move the front axle of my YJ forward. Pretty cheap and easy for $15. There aren't any adverse effects, other than you may have to lengthen your driveshaft. If you think about it, it's virtually the same as swapping to waggy springs which have the center pin in a different location. The 38's would rub harder in the fenders if I didn't have them.
