biggreentj 02-03-2006, 04:09 PM almost 50 views and no has anything to say? it looks okay? it wont work? just give me your opinion
kwrangln 02-03-2006, 04:14 PM May want to rethink the stringers, looking at the top view, their going to be right over your head, bad thing. Wait till you get the heep, lay out where you think you want to add tube with masking tape, then sit in it and move around to make sure you have some clearance.
ChaseYJ 02-03-2006, 04:15 PM You're basing a design on something that's been done a thousand times. What do you want reassurance of?
biggreentj 02-03-2006, 04:30 PM i figured it was a basic design, just wanted input, thanks for the tip with masking tape, i plan on waitin for the jeep before building anything, and agree those could be bad right above my head, i think i am going to buy a bender now, so i will just put some bends in it for extra clearance, and it will look way better also

kwrangln 02-03-2006, 05:06 PM If your going to buy a bender, then scrap whats there and start from scratch. Dont care much for the MORE add on crap, yanked it out of my new heep as soon as I got it and sold the whole cage for $50. Built a new one much mo bettah.
biggreentj 02-03-2006, 07:18 PM if i had the skills i would, but i dont... yet.
i just had an idea over dinner for the fender tubes, seems most people mount them to the body at the back. but i am wondering how hard on a yj, to run it through the body, inside to the full cage? sounds easy but i am sure there is something to get in the way. anyone ever done that?
NE-RokToy 02-04-2006, 10:34 AM looks like you came up with the overhead bars just out of thin air. A simple X may not seem as cool to you but will definatly be stronger
biggreentj 02-04-2006, 02:01 PM i am not looking for it to purposely be cool, like some guys around here. a simple x would be good, i will have to look into changin to that.
thanks
