I am about tobuy a 99 chevy van that needs a fuel pump buying from a friend that already has replaced it with a aftermarket fuel pump twice within 3 months sounds to me like just a crappy aftermarket pump, but I think one from the dealer is around $250.
So my question is why cant I just put in a in line fuel pump and do away with the one in the tank or should I just quit being cheap and fork over the money for a factory one

when the key is turned on it presuresrises the fj system to the reamented psi if u go with the in line pump u my not get the right psi to run it plus all the rewiring of it I would just fork over the $$$ for the new one drop the tank put it in and replace the filter and blow the lines out make sure u unhook the lines from the motor and plow it back
