Ok, I know and I already did a search to come up with almost nothing on this. My wifes 02 suburbans wiper delay is not working. She has somehow misplaced the owners manual but I checked the fuses and it does not apear to be that from what I have seen. Now the wiper works on high but if you switch it to any delay at all the wipers stop dead in their tracks. I have heard there is a wiper control module but not sure if this is the problem and if so where is it located? If this isn't the problem what is? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Shawn

it will be a cold solder joint in the wiper module that us under the cover that bolts to the wiper motor with 3 torque bolts disconnect the connector to wiper motor and pull cover and the module wil pull straight out if you want to repair it the 5 solder joints where the connector terminals attach there will be 1 or more with bad solder joints
otherwise they are not that expensive to replace and Gm does have a recall on some models

Exactly correct. The wifes Avy did the same thing. Took about an hour to fix it.
I think that chevy issued a TSB but not a recall on this though

they actually have recalled alot of them but not all of them> really makes no since because they are all the same and then hey have you seal the cover into place and the problem has nothing to do with leakage. Everyone I have done at the dealership I used to work at was a cold solder joint and I would keep the old ones that got warrentied and install them into friends rides when they needed them I still have 1 or 2 spares
