ok guys i found sum oru hangers fairly cheap so im reconsidering on the leaf sas over the coil sas. i want to go leaf cuz i think it looks much more cleaner then the coil and fits the truck better. my ? is what r all the parts i need to make and buy to create crossover on a ford dana 44? i want to do this as cheap as possible. is there anyone on hear that would b willing and can make me drag and center links or what ever i need at a fariy resonable price?

I have a quick question regarding the x-over steering on the d44. Dont the leaf springs get in the way of the tie rod? It dosent look like there is enough room for the tie rod to go over the leaf springs if it is mounted on top of the knuckle.
Maybe someone has a pic of the setup I could see???

High steer and Crossover steering are 2 different things, well I guess technically, Highsteer is a type of Crossover.

As to whether the tie-rod goes above the leafs in front of the axle or behind with Highsteer depends on what you want to do and what your castor looks like.

well cross over steer is where you have a drag link from your steering box to a mount on top of the passenger side knuckle which is connect to the other knuckle via a tie rod. Or am I thinking of high steer? Perhaps I have my terminolgy messed up? I guess I need an explination as the difference.

I have flat top knuckles on a 74ish D44. I want to get the tie rod out of the way of rocks

hey axist6 all i found in the forsale was the flat top knuckl dou have the drag and centerlink to or not? im kinda interested it all depends on what set up i go with tho if i go with springs i will need the knuckls if i go with the coils i wont need it and ill just do a hi steer so im not sure yet ifi need them i want to do springs tho it depends if i cna get my hands on sum cheap brackets first tho let me kno if it has the center and drag link to or if its just the knuckles
