10 bolt and 46s? i guess they had an offroad tow rig and trailer, drove it to that spot, backed it off the trailer, and took the pics, dont think the 10 bolt woulda lasted much longer

i was just checkin it out, and besides the massive tires, i didnt see too much wrong with it. if i were to buy it i would definately sell the 46's and buy some 38's, then the 10 bolt could probably survive and it would be a decent wheeler. i dont have a problem with the lights on the frame, just some redneck rock lights:p

go on, flame me for not having a problem with it besides the unnecessarily large tires:flipoff2:

I drive it, even though it's a mall crawler. You would need a pallet jack to change the tires. LOL.

There is no freaking way those ball joints can handle 46's. That tire would up and fall off. Those 30 spline rear 60 shafts probably twist half way every time you take off.

That thing is a death trap. White trash soccer mom ride.

Did anyone happen to notice this?

"I BUILT THIS TO DO ANY TYPE OF WHEELING IT CRAWLS(306.9:1)...AND IT HAULS A**..." How in the world did he get that calculation?

Wasn't exactly sure of the GM low gear set, but that, times Dana 300 low gear set, times 4:1 Klune, times 4:10 rears gear ratio, came out & about to 279:1. Might have a low gear set in the 300, who knows? :smokin:

The same way the rest of us would get it:

SM420-->Klune-->Dana300-->4.10r&p
7.06*4*2.63*4.10=304.5 by my calcs. Maybe his numbers differ in the hundredths? Point is, that's the gearing he has. :flipoff2:

This guy must be smoking crack :D

I tried to calculate it also, but could only get close to a 307.9:1 ratio. :shaking:

SM420 x klune x dana300 low x Axle

7.05 x 4 x 4 x 2.73 = 307.9

I even looked up in my books to see what the gm10 bolt options are, and the klune is either 2.5 or 4 , and the dana 300 is either 2.62 or 4, a dana 60 rear with 2.72 ?

I don't know either........ :jester:

If you look closely at his right hand in this picture, the builder actually givesa physical measurement of what he's compensating for.

Call me silly, but could the thing even be turned around in the state of Texas??

Sure don't look like much clearance between the tire and the springs when its pointed straight.

How does a person figure when the tire will meet the spring with different axle widths, B/S and tire width?? Get the axle/tire/wheel combo together and turn it all lock to lock and then set the spring mounts on the truck accordingly? Kinda redneck engineering so there has to be a easier way. In short, will 37's,stock b/s hummers and a SRW60 front axle (w High steer:) ) all work under my 800 with the spring mounts where they are??

Seen Foose work the figures on Overhaulin once, but the wife cleared the dvr off before I got to rewatch it and "pay attention" to what he was doing.

Overall I think the truck on 46's is cool!! Capable of ANYTHING or not..:shaking:

White trash soccer mom ride.

hahaha i love it! I know I'll repeat that one day.

Anyone else notice the rear drive angel... think with the shaft, its looks like 70 degrees or so. Isn't that bad??? (I dont know..) it looks like you wouldnt hav eto worry about axels the u joints and driveshaft would blow first.

Wish I could be on the first trip with the guy that buys this. Would make a great video, extra sound effects and such.

When my dad had 44s on hsi CJ8, he broke a D60 just climbing onto the trailer, wonder what this thing does on a speed bump.

Well when a $8.00 55w foglight out performs a 45.00 spot rock light it's kind dumb. :flipoff2:
