im in the middle of putting a pass drop waggy d44 in my yj and cant get it centered in there. its off by about a inch. can someone post some pics of theirs so i can see what im doing wrong.

measure twice cut once......

if the spring perches are centered and match up to your spring mount width it will go in just fine. Something aint right if the axle isnt centered when bolted in.

the thing is the spring wont go over far enough because the u-bolt hits the housing.

i had thought about putting studs in instead of u-bolts, like on a d60. anyone try this before?

my scout axle(pass drop) on my yj is perced in the housing to let the ubolt through, its late now, but ill try to take a picture tomorow for you just leave me an email to foward the pic

I'm not sure if the measurements of a pass. drop and driver drop are the same but on my pass. drop waggie axle, the spring perch in stick welded onto the housing. The inner u-bolt slips into a notch that I ground out on the housing so that it fits

I don't have any pictures but if the offset of the housing is the same for a pass drop and a driver drop, Keith Strong used to have some good pictures of his YJ with a driver drop waggie axle, that may help you
