i've got an '85 landcruiser bundera (landcruiser w/minitruck driveline) that won't release the front transfer gear.

after using 4lo, went to 2hi & rrrrrrr shaft partially engaging. tried everything i could think of, ended up having to drive home in 4hi. stays engaged fine when in 4hi. stock driveline.

4wd dash indicator is staying on even when transfer case (electronic) switched off.

any ideas?
