I am helping a friend put his 304 back in his '87 CJ-7. We pulled it out, tore most of it down, then took it to a machine shop where they machined it and put it all back to together, almost. Everything was put on except the water pump, distributor, flywheel, headers, and a few other things which was no big deal. Also all the fittings were pulled off the manifold and block and given back to us in a box, problem is we don't know where everything goes. We figured most of it out but still can't figure out for sure where the oil pressure sending unit and the tempature sending unit go. Do they both go into the intake?? My buddy swears he remembers unplugging the wire for the oil pressure from somwhere on the side of the block but we can't find a hole to screw the sending unit in. We have a Clymer and a Haynes manual but neither really show us anything. If anyone has a diagram or know whrere this stuff should go we sure would appreciate it.

i think the oil presure should go on the passenger side next to the oil filter and the temp right next to the thermostat housing:rasta:

yeah he's right, the oil pressure indicator should go on a small piece that sticks out from the block on the p side kinda of behind the oil filter. hope it helps

Oil sender info is correct. What year is that thing? not an '87:confused: The temp sender could go in a couple different places.
