YES, I searched...........

I give up. Doesn't seem cost effective to rebuild your own 22RE these days. Only advantage I see is that you know the parts, tolerances & how the thing went together - but no guaranty. "But I can put a guaranty on a box..." -never mind! ha!

Anyway, I spoke with Bo there this afternoon, he seemed knowledgeable about 22RE's & was willing to talk.
Calling tomorrow for shipping quote cause his manager was out. Wish they were closer though!!
$1920 for what sounds like a solid short block with a port/polished rebuilt head with RV cam & new springs. He said most blocks are bored 0.020 over & cranks just polished.

I'd love to just rebuild my existing 85 block & slap on a nice engnbldr street rv head, but like I said it'd be dern near the same price with all the parts....not to mention I gotta drive at least 50 miles just to find a good machine shop. All the local shops say "metric? we caint machine in metric":shaking:

If I'm wrong in my thinking, correct me. Maybe I've just been sitting in front of this damn computer too long.
