I have a front ifs diff open out of Paul's [booger welds] old 88 xcab. well Pat was looking at it turning it and it acted like it had a locker. I said no it's open, so he says gear must have broke off and jamed in the spider gears, so we pop off the cover and sure enough, a big ass chunk of ring gear is broke off in plain site and wedged in the spider gears, lol:flipoff2: well Paul, u were locked up front and didn't even know it....damn weak ass shit hu?:p :p :p

Not really. But I dod have one. WTF you need one for anyway? Converting that sammy of yours to 4-wheel-independent so it will work better on the rocks?

i blew up my open ifs diff too with just 33x9.5. i already had the majority of my SAS parts in the garage, so i just laughed as i took it out and tossed it....atleast it went out in style :smokin:

I got three third members in my yard right now. I am sure that the ring and or pinions are junk.
If anyone wants them, they are free to a good home.

I can hear the flames crackling......Why are IFS gears weaker? Is it because they are smaller than the eight inch? Newbie question from a fawkin newbie.
