Is that 400hp on pump gas? Have any dyno runs?
Even if you are at 400hp - on whatever gas - that's going to mean big-ass turbo, as noted by the size of the plumbing on your IC. Big-ass turbo = lag on the low end, not typically the type of thing that most crawler rigs need...
$9k is nutty, even if LC sells them for $14k. LC builds good stuff, but their stuff is very high dollar.
I'd love to hear the details on the motor, see some photos, and see a dyno run, however... I've heard of drag 22RE's putting down in excess of 400hp, but they run like on/off switches.
LC engineering turbo 02-10-2006, 05:01 PM t3/t4 gerrett turbo turbonetics compressor, sds system retards timing for boost, yes big ass turbo
dcg9381 02-11-2006, 02:59 PM Big ass turbos don't do much for crawling as they won't spool at low to middle RPMs.
Do you have receipts for that setup? If so - detail what the build out is, or scan in the receipt. The few people I've seen running high HP 22R motors were drag related.. The 2.4L simply doesn't displace enough CCs to behave well down low and produce 400hp... Most of the people on this board are going to be interested in low end grunt...
Toyn2much 02-11-2006, 07:37 PM Id love to own that just for the uniqueness. Dont worry none about those rock heads...real men do it in the mud. Mudders would LOVE that HP to weight ratio. Powerball draws tonight...If i win, Ill buy it
