i on the other hand don't have the cash... i need to start saving. wonder how it would work with dual cases in a longer wheelbase zuk... with a shortened intermediate shaft? or would the best option just be to go with the toy tranny and the suzuki bellhousing? need prices so i can fantasize.

Hi Guys

Thank you for the positive comments on our new case. My thoughts on set up. While I think that a dual toy case would work great on the long wheel base trucks, and if I was not selling my truck that is what I would do the intent is for the standard Sami to run the sidekick tranny, Witch is much stronger than the Sami transmission I would say Quite close to the toy 5sp (IMO) and I have been running the sidekick tranny for 5 years with no trouble no rebuilds, out to the toy case. At that point you can go to your drive shafts with Toyota at each end rather than modifying your yokes or shaft flange and you will have the center output for the rear. The other way to go may be to use the 4wheel drive Sidekick tranny with the OTT Kicker low range box
To the toy case. But you know you can do what ever you want with it for only $325.00USD.

Thanks, Rick

Yeah Rick, Wuuuzzzzzup with the picture?

Is that the back-end of a Sidekick low-range gearbox, adapted to be used with the Samurai divorced transfer case?

If it is, how soon can you have me one in the mail???? I just got my check from George W. today

I believe thats their set-up that lets you use a sidekick reduction box in front of a kick tc. I think this is what Rick runs. I thought about running this but the problem is its about 10-12 inches longer than stock so it a tough squeeze in a sami, and the output is still offset. Offset and a shorter d-shaft is not really great for toy axles. OTT definitely makes different, in a cool way, products.

Hi All

The kicker case (sidekick lowrange box) was first used with the stock Sami t-case as in my truck.I run a LC rear so the off set Sami t-case is great for me. The Kicker case is 8 inches long and a stub shaft is used between the two cases. Now with the new Toy case the same can be done using a stub shaft from the low range box to the divorced Toy case.

Guess I had that one all screwed up. Thanks for the info. Rick...Couldn't you use a stock sami tranny though with a shortened intermediate shaft if you wanted to reduce overall length?

holy cow rick,
That sweet, thats just what I was looking for, (the kick lowrange to the toy setup.)
now let me see if i get this correct,
you would use the sidekick trannie? or the samurai trannie?, then the sidekick lowrange setup, then the toy tcase ? but does the toycase hard mount to the sidekick dealie? or is it divorced mounted like the samurai tcase..
man, this all sounds cool, ..

Hi All

Yes Sean you could use the stock Sami transmission with the Toy case how ever the Kicker case is only for the Sidekick tranny and is solid mount to that tranny the Toy case is divorced on either set up, now with that said I am going to look at the possibility of solid mounting the kicker case to the Toy case hmmmmmmm. Regardless of witch tranny you use I would shorten the intermediate shaft, Mine is only 3.5 inches plus joints and flange.

I want to be just like me too, O wait I am me. Anyhow it seems lately we've been able to buy complete Toyota trucks for cheaper than the axles alone, go figure. Have you considered that angle yet? Get it...

I'm interested in this as well. I lost my zuk t-case to some idiot so I might as well put something bullet proof in mine ;-). I have a kick motor and tranny lined up so that will work out good.
