I'm trying to decide what springs I want to use for a front soa on my CJ. I have an old set of 1-ton Chevy military leaves laying around, which are considereably longer than stock CJ springs. Just wondering if anyone has done this before and, if so, what the results were. Obviously, I would remove some leaves. :)

Have'nt done that but:
I'm thinking you are going to have to extend your frame & lose approach angle.
If I wanted longer springs I would use one w/ offset pin so the front is about stock length.
