Got a 14 bolt semi floating axle, out of my 91 Chevy K2500. This is a 6 lug axle. 3.42 gears, and the factory gov-lock (which is actually strong, unlike the 10 bolt version). I'm swapping it out for another 14 bolt that already has the gearing I want.
Good option for half ton trucks that have blown up that 10 bolt, but want to keep their 6 lug wheels!
$200 obo. Can deliver within a reasonable distance for gas money. No shipping.

Just blew up my 10 bolt in my tahoe and would rather build the sf 14 bolt instead. How far are you willing to meet? Will it be complete w/ e-brake cables and everything? Very interested. Thanks

Eh, I could do an hour or 3, not really wanting to drive 6 then back, unless I get real desperate to get rid of it. I'll be going down to Uwharrie the middle of March, but you probably want it before then. Yah, I'll include the ebrake cables if you want them, and it'll be totally complete, drums and all.

Semi floating means the vehicles weight is supported by the axle shafts, and in this rear end, the axleshafts are secured by c-clips inside the differential. If you break an axleshaft or c-clip, the wheel will fall off. In a full floating axle, if you break an axleshaft, it just won't power that wheel anymore, you can still drive around perfectly.
If you are worried about strength, I've heard this axle will stand up to about 38s and is considerable strength to a d60 semi floater.
Mapquest says I'm about 4.5 hours from VIR. I could meet you in Richmond.
