Doing some research for Nica. He's got an 85 pickup that's in the process of turning into a buggy. Marlin double box, 38.5 Swampers. He want's to go Dana, close to stock width. In the search I did, NE Toy say's J20 D44, Beebs has a 72ish Chevy, etc, etc. For a Dana 44-60 combo, what are the best donors for close to stock width with no narrowing, cut axles, etc????

Waggy front (61in) and a shaved cab & chassis 14 bolt rear (63in). A little wider than what you wanted, but not much.

Or, waggy front and a Isuzu D44 rear (58in).

The 61" Waggy would probably be closest/easiest for no cutting...
