I say MT/R's. I'll be running a set of 35's when I get my toy axles ( ;) ). They work great on the rocks in Colorado. A buddy of mine has had 31's, 33's, and 35's on his TJ and loved 'em. I was very impressed. ~Steve

well since I have a new set of 37" MTRs and a new set of 38 SXs sitting in my garage, maybe I will have to do a P4x4 tire test...... :cool2:

Just read a artical on Micky Thompson's Baja Claws. I can not remeber the 4X4 Mag (things I do to pass time while the wife is grocerie shopping) but it basically stated that you could not go wrong on with them....I am planning on a set for my self here pretty soon just have to deside if I want 31's or 33's.

I wish I could get away with going wheeling by saying, sorry honey I gotta go do a test!

Claws are super soft. My buddy has a set and he's not even done building his rig, just a few burnouts in the driveway, and they're already missing chunks!

i vote other and the other is a 38" SX. Why would you go with a smaller SX than MT/R? The SXs measure a little small, i bet they're about the same size as the 37" MT/R.

I really don't want the width of the 38x14.50 I'd like a 12.50 width

They make a 38 x 12.50 SX. :p

The SX's are about an inch taller than the MTRs unmounted.

Holy Crap they do!

I looked before but thought they only had them for 16.5 wheels.

I don't vote on things I have no clue about. You could send me the tires, and I could see for ya.

Hands down, the TSL SX's. I agree though, go with the 38's

Well, you said you'd be mostly using the rig for the trail, for on-road performance isn't really aconcern. And Lance, you got those MT/R's through a sponsor for free didn't you? I also thought that the GY's are damn expensive compared to the others no?

I voted other...go for the 38x12.5 SXs...save on weight and wont be as wide...I have a set of 38x12.5 SXs and 38.5X11 Boggers in my garage...as soon as my rig is going again I am going to be doing some serious testing (all SX, All Bogger, and the diff combos) I also may be getting a set of 37 MTRs and if I do I will include them in the testing:D:D:D

SX's are the toughest tire on rocks, MT/R's are #2, IMHO. MT/R's ride, drive, and wear very well on the road. Eitherway you are gonna have a great tire.

I'm running little 36 TSL's now, and wanted a set of 38 SX's next, but may go with the 37 MTR's I can get them at a good price with no questions asked replacement (prorated after the 1st 5/32, so not the best deal, but better than what I have now) As bad as my TSL's are in the out of round category, I’ll leaning towards the MTR's real hard... We'll see who the side walls do in the next few months though.......cuz I'll deal with oval SX's before BFG (Buttery, Flimsy, garbage) type side wall issues again.

I have 36" SX's now and my partner in EROCC has 37" MT/Rs. I've also had 33" MT/Rs

I've wheeled both and hands down the MT/Rs stuck better in Tellico.

My vote is MT/R, and my set is on the way:D
