How hard is it to install diferential gearing. I am having the problem of NEF (not enough funds) and other people seem to charge a lot to install the shit. I was thinking of doing it myself. I got the stock axles and plan on going to 4.56 gears. Any one know if I should even attempt it since i have never even tore into a diff before.

You can probably do it if you know what the pattern should look like. Depending on what kind of diff you have, you will probably have it in & out several times. By the time you get it right you will have ruined your bearings. Shops have "setup" bearings for this. If you don't get it right, especially in the rear, you will trash the gears. This is one thing I have'nt done. I just go to:

I just had a front 44 down there last week. Arb install was $160 labor, to give you an idea. Other diffs might be less, since there's a little more work with the ARB.
Someone else will probably tell you it's easy, but it's worth it to me to know it's right.
